My name is Jonathan Hodges, and I am a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, and teaching artist based in Chicago, IL. I teach music privately throughout Chicago, teach violin at The People’s Music School, and coach chamber music for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras. 

In 2019, I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My former violin teachers include Marla Feeney, Alexander Serafimov, Ivan Ženatý, Chee-Yun Kim, and Diane Kitzman. 

I have been teaching music (violin, guitar, piano, song-writing, production, and music theory) for over a decade, at all levels, and to all ages.
